Digital Citizenship is about being confident, positive and responsible when engaging in digital technology. The 3 core guiding principles to be a responsible digital citizen are:
• ENGAGE positively• KNOW your online world• CHOOSE consciously
At Murrumba State Secondary College we aim to provide students with the skills and knowledge to use digital technologies safely to investigate, create, communicate and operate in the digital world. Posters like the “Tech Rules” for iPads and designing learning opportunities around cybersafety, cyberbullying and the eSmart program are all initiatives that aim to improve student’s understanding and knowledge of being a digital citizen.
