Before you apply for enrolment at Murrumba State Secondary College, please read the following important information.
Murrumba State Secondary College recognises as its prime obligation, the provision of access to an appropriate educational service for students whose principal place of residence is within the school's catchment area.
Because of enrolment capacity and growth Murrumba State Secondary College may be unable to meet this obligation in the future, unless action is taken to manage enrolments. The Principal must restrict the enrolment of out-of-catchment students to ensure in-catchment students can enrol at their local state school, without requiring additional facilities.
The College Enrolment Management Plan (EMP) External link sets out the conditions under which students may be enrolled into Murrumba State Secondary College, subject to any other requirements or limitations in the Education (General Provisions) Act 2006.
College catchment information can be checked on the Enrolment Catchment Map External link.
The Enrolment Management Plan (EMP) External link identifies opportunity for enrolment from Out of Catchment into identified Programs of Excellence, where vacancy exists.
Students are required to agree and abide by our College Student Code of Conduct and Student Dress Code.
Proof of Residency documents e.g. rates notice, electricity notice, proof of purchase or lease agreement (original documents only will be accepted) are required prior to enrolment processing. When these documents have been provided as part of the application process details of the scheduled enrolment sessions will be communicated.
Please be prepared. Without the correct documents the enrolment will not be accepted. The following documents are required:
- A current passport and visa is required for any child born overseas
- Child's most recent student report card
- Any current legal/custody orders

The Enrolment Interview
New enrolments throughout the 2025 school year
Your child's transition into Murrumba State Secondary College is important to our College. To encourage a successful transition, enrolment interviews will be held each Wednesday afternoon during the school term. New students will then commence school the following Monday to allow for an induction session run by a Deputy Principal, which includes a College tour and introduction to key staff members.
Year 7 enrolments for 2026
Enrolment interviews for new students in 2026 will be held in Term 3 and Term 4. All students, parents and carers must attend an interview and information session before commencing at the College.
Dates and times of interviews will be advised to parents and carers once all required enrolment paperwork has been completed and provided to the College. To ensure your child is prepared and supported to commence at the College in 2026 please complete the enrolment process by the end of Term 3 2025.
