SAVE THE DATE! Wednesday 22 October. 2025 Academic Awards Night is fast approaching and we are spotlighting some of the awards which will be on celebrated on the night.
Academic Excellence Awards are awarded to learners in years 7 to 10 achieving a 4.5 GPA or higher across all their subject's year to date.
Academic Subject Awards are awarded to the top learner in each subject across years 11 and 12
Programs of Excellence Pride Awards are awarded to one learner from each program – Spanish, Engineering, HPM, Dance and Football who has demonstrated the college values while representing academic excellence in their chosen program.
Cultural Excellence Awards are awarded to one junior secondary and one senior secondary learner and recognise an outstanding contribution to Culture, Community and the Arts at Murrumba State Secondary College.
Year 7-11 Scholar of the Year Awards are awarded to the top academic learner in each level, that is, the student who has the highest grade point average across all of their subject's year to date
The Special awards are the pinnacle celebration of learning at Murrumba, and represent an acknowledgement and recognition of some of our highest performing learners in a number of different domains. The special awards acknowledge achievement across a range of areas within the College and each have their own unique criteria they include:

- ADF Long Tan Leadership and Future Innovators Awards
- All Rounder Awards
- Community Spirit Awards
- Leadership Awards
- Spirit of Murrumba Award
- Excellence in Vocational Education Award
