Our Mission Statement

  

To educate passionate and diverse students by providing a challenging business-focused program, with opportunities for business and community involvement, and a model for lifelong learning with an emphasis on post-secondary opportunities.

  

Aims and Objectives of the Academy

The Academy of Entrepreneurship and Innovation is an exciting initiative, which aims to address the need for a modern and relevant, business-focused, school-based academy for students to engage in. The Academy aims to:
  • To develop a specialist program which inspires and supports students to shape their preferred futures. 
  • To provide a closely-knit community which motivates students to develop and improve their academic and social skills. 
  • To develop strong partnerships with both small businesses and large corporations in our local community, to facilitate real-world experiences for our students. 
  • To develop and maintain a progressive technological operating environment that will enable students to acquire the necessary knowledge and abilities to be skilled digital citizens.

The Academy of Entrepreneurship and Innovation aims to develop entrepreneurially minded and innovative students who embrace the challenges of the future. The Academy will provide a safe and inclusive learning environment, both on and off campus, where students are able to enhance their knowledge and skills necessary for success in life beyond College.

The Academy of Entrepreneurship and Innovation intends to grow in size and opportunities, ensuring students are always engaged, motivated and learning for life. Academy membership will provide those students with a genuine interest in entrepreneurship and innovation an opportunity to pursue their passions along many pathways, including tertiary studies and secure career pathways.

Academy Opportunities

Academy members must ensure that they choose to study the following key entrepreneurship and innovation subjects in their senior subject selections:

Year 10

  • Entrepreneurship Education; and/or
  • Legal Studies

Year 11 & 12

  • Business; and/or
  • Legal Studies

In Year 11 & 12, students must also select to study the Diploma of Business.
