Murrumba State Secondary College is putting the Arts into their annual STEM Festival and going full STEAM ahead to defy gravity.  Destination Moon is the title for this year’s STEAM Festival which will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing.  Held in the picturesque surroundings of the Creative Industries Precinct in the heart of the school, this is a free festival with something for everyone.
Join us for a galactic adventure into space.  There are interactive displays and workshops for the young and young at heart.  Try your hand at navigating robotics around the purpose-built, crater filled, lunar landscape, or build and launch your very own rocket.  There will be telescopes to star gaze and solar system inspired art exhibitions to admire.  Whether you are donning the Virtual Reality goggles or just sitting back on a blanket watching footage of the Moon landing on the large outdoor projection screens, this is guaranteed to be a fun and educational experience not to miss.
Support our Student Representative Council (SRC) by enjoying a BBQ dinner.  Destination Moon, the Murrumba STEAM Festival will be held on Thursday 15 August from 4.30pm – 6.30pm.  Join our fabulous staff and students as we reach for the stars.
