Parliament House Excursion.

19/04/2017
On Wednesday 19th April, the Year 11 Legal Studies students commuted by train to the Brisbane CBD to embark on a Parliament House excursion. The purpose of the excursion was to reinforce our learning about parliamentary practices in Queensland. During the excursion, we participated in a tour of the parliamentary building and were given a briefing about how Parliament operates. One of the highlights of the day was when all students participated in a roleplay of the legal process of passing a bill through Parliament.

We are now looking forward to our next Legal Studies excursion to the Faculty of Law at QUT Gardens Point for a research workshop.
