Academic Challenge

The first event for the 2017 Tri-Challenge Cup took place in the first week of this term. The Academic Challenge saw our students face off against many brain busting activities in order to earn points for their house. Students could tackle everything from simple puzzles and maths games through to solving engineering problems and answering advanced trivia questions. With only 70 minutes available for the Challenge, students frantically ran from station to station in pursuit of victory. As time drew to an end, the point’s tent was packed with students eager to get their tokens into the containers before the final bell. The addition of our 4th house, Burnet, meant there was a fierce sense of competition in the air. Ultimately, the fresh fighting spirit of the blue army was too hard to beat. Final scores were:

           ·        Burnet – 1911 points – 1st

           ·        Doherty – 1730 points – 2nd

           ·        Bragg – 1458 points – 3rd

           ·        Blackburn – 1309 points – 4th

Congratulations Burnet! The College also sends a huge thank you to our passionate Head of House for Doherty, Kath Brown, for organising the event and creating yet another memorable day here at Murrumba.
